Order
1 Title
This order is the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Order 2024.
2 Commencement
(1)
This order comes into force on 3 October 2024.
3 Interpretation
In this order, Act means the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988.
4 Prescribed amount for purposes of section 11(2)(a) of Act
For the purposes of section 11(2)(a) of the Act, the prescribed amount is $25,000.
5 Prescribed amount for purposes of section 11(2)(b) of Act: 3 October 2024 to 31 March 2025
[Revoked]Clause 5: revoked, at the close of 31 March 2025, by clause 5(2).
6 Prescribed amount for purposes of section 11(2)(b) of Act: 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026
(1)
For the purposes of section 11(2)(b) of the Act, the prescribed amount is $40,000.
(2)
This clause is revoked at the close of 31 March 2026.
7 Prescribed amount for purposes of section 11(2)(b) of Act: 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027
(1)
For the purposes of section 11(2)(b) of the Act, the prescribed amount is $41,200.

This clause is revoked at the close of 31 March 2027.
8 Prescribed amount for purposes of section 11(2)(b) of Act: 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2028
(1)
For the purposes of section 11(2)(b) of the Act, the prescribed amount is $42,400.
(2)
This clause is revoked at the close of 31 March 2028.
9 Prescribed amount for purposes of section 11(2)(b) of Act: 1 April 2028 to 31 March 2029

For the purposes of section 11(2)(b) of the Act, the prescribed amount is $43,700.
(2)
This clause is revoked at the close of 31 March 2029.
10 Prescribed amount for purposes of section 11(2)(b) of Act
For the purposes of section 11(2)(b) of the Act, the prescribed amount is $45,000.
11 Revocation
The Protection of Personal and Property Rights Order 2007 (SR 2007/196) is revoked.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Order 2024 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
