The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Roxburgh Reserves Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1877.”

The Corporation of the Town of Roxburgh shall, within six months after the passing of this Act, appoint some competent person to value the buildings and all other improvements effected prior to the passing of this Act, by Daniel Charles Dalton, upon that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule to “The Roxburgh Reserves Act, 1876,” now occupied by him, and shall either pay to him the amount of such valuation within the six months aforesaid, or, subject to such conditions as the said Corporation shall fix, sell the said portion of the said reserve by public auction, at an upset price equal to three pounds per acre, together with the value of the said buildings and improvements; and on the receipt by the Corporation of the amount of the valuation of such improvements shall pay the same to the said Daniel Charles Dalton.

The Corporation of the Town of Roxburgh shall have the like power of sale with respect to the said portion of the said reserve as is conferred on them by “The Roxburgh Reserves Act, 1876,” and this Act shall be read as part of the said Act.
