The Short Title of this Act is “The Hamilton Volunteer Hall Site Act 1878 Amendment Act, 1879.”

If at any time after the passing of this Act it shall be made to appear to the satisfaction of the Minister of Lands that a more suitable site in freehold shall have been procured for the erection of a hall, it shall be lawful for the Trustees of the Hamilton Volunteer Hall Site to sell and dispose of the land mentioned and described in “The Hamilton Volunteer Hall Site Act, 1878,” and to apply the proceeds of such sale to the erection of a hall upon such fresh site, and such fresh site and the hall thereon erected shall be and remain upon and subject to the same trusts and conditions as the land in the said Act granted.

It shall be lawful for the Corporation of the Borough of Hamilton to set apart, out of the land vested in the said Corporation as endowments or otherwise, such allotment or parcel of land as the said Corporation shall think fit, not exceeding one acre, and under the corporate seal of the said Corporation to convey and assure in fee-simple the land so set apart to the Trustees of the Hamilton Volunteer Hall; and, when conveyed, the said land shall be held under and subject to the provisions of “The Hamilton Volunteer Hall Site Act, 1878.”
