The Short Title of this Act is “The Inch Clutha Act 1878 Amendment Act, 1880.”

Section thirteen of “The Inch Clutha Act, 1878” (hereinafter called “the said Act”), is hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof it is enacted as follows:—

Notwithstanding anything contained in “The Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough Rivers Act, 1868,” or any Act amending the same, it shall not be necessary for any classification to be made of the lands within Inch Clutha for the purposes of the said Act; but, from and after the passing of this Act, any rate to be levied by the Board constituted under the said Act may be a uniform acreage rate in respect of all the lands within Inch Clutha, not exceeding in any one year the sum of three shillings per acre, as provided by the twentieth section of the said “Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough Rivers Act, 1868.”
