The Short Title of this Act is “The Sydenham Borough Council Empowering Act, 1892.”

The Borough Council of Sydenham, as constituted under the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876,” may grant in perpetuity, and free of rent or other charge, to the Education Board of the District of North Canterbury, as constituted under the provisions of “The Education Act, 1877,” and to the successors of the said Board, a full and free right of way at all times and for all purposes, or such lesser right of way as may be by the said Council considered necessary, over all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement fifteen perches and seven-tenths, situate in the Borough of Sydenham, taken by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette on the twelfth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for the purposes of public baths, as the said land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 12830, referred to in the said Proclamation, and thereon coloured red, a copy of which plan is deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; and the said Council may execute all necessary deeds or instruments for the purpose of granting or confirming such right of way.
