An Act to further amend “The Gisborne High School Act, 1885.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Gisborne High School Act 1885 Further Amendment Act, 1893.”
2 Gisborne High School Acts incorporated.
“The Gisborne High School Act, 1885,”
and “The Gisborne High School Act 1885 Amendment Act, 1887,”
are to be read herewith.
3 Power to set aside out of revenue a sum not exceeding £150 in any one year for scholarships.
“The Board”
may out of revenue set apart a sum in anyone year not exceeding the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds for the grant of scholarships to children who have been educated at any Government school in the County of Cook or Borough of Gisborne, which county and borough shall constitute “the special district”
for the purposes and within the meaning of this Act.
4 Scholarships to be granted subject to regulations and conditions.
Scholarships granted by the Board shall be granted subject to such regulations and conditions as it may approve, and which are assented to by the Governor.
5 District may be extended, restricted, altered, or varied.
The Board may at any time extend, restrict, alter, or vary the boundaries of the special district, with the assent of the Governor first obtained.
