An Act to enable the Kiwitea County Council to exchange a Reserve vested in it for Land as a Site for County Offices.
Preamble.
WHEREAS the Kiwitea County Council requires land as a site for county offices, and for that purpose has agreed with the owner of the land described in the First Schedule hereto to give to him in exchange therefor the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and in pursuance of such agreement the land first herein mentioned has been conveyed to the Council, but the Council has no power to dispose of the gravel reserve mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto as proposed, and it is desirable that the transaction should be completed:
Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Kiwitea County Council Offices Act, 1901.”
2 Power to grant owner of land an estate in fee-simple on land being conveyed.
The Governor, on being satisfied that the land described in the First Schedule hereto has been conveyed to the Corporation of the Kiwitea County for an estate in fee-simple, may grant to the person conveying the said land an estate in fee-simple, free from all reservation, in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULES
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that piece or parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, situate in Apiti Survey District, containing by ad measurement 3 roods 39 perches, more or less, being part of Section 2, Block XIV., of the said survey district. Bounded towards the west by the Otamakapua or Main Road; towards the north and east by other part of Section 2, Block XIV., Survey District, 309·6 and 334 links respectively; and towards the south by Section 1, Block XIV., Apiti Survey District, 283·6 links.
SECOND SCHEDULE
All that piece or parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, situate in Apiti Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Gravel Reserve No. 118, Block XIV., of the said survey district. Bounded towards the west by the Otamakapua or Main Road; towards the north, east, and south by Section 2, Block XIV., Apiti Survey District, 700 links, 386·2 links, and 450 links respectively.
