The Short Title of this Act is “The Dunedin City and Suburban Tramways and Water-power Act 1903 Amendment Act, 1905.”

In this Act the words “the said Act” mean “The Dunedin City and Suburban Tramways and Water-power Act, 1903.”

Except as to licenses for Water-race No. 16, for Dam No. 5, and for Special Site No. 5, referred to in the First Schedule to the said Act, the proviso to section six of the said Act is hereby suspended for a period of five years from the passing of this Act.

The mining privileges and licenses referred to in section nineteen of “The Waipori Falls Electrical Power Act, 1904,” shall not be subject to the proviso to section six of the said Act.

It shall not be necessary to renew any of the mining privileges or licenses referred to in the said Act or in “The Waipori Falls Electrical Power Act, 1904,” except the said licenses for Water-race No. 16, for Dam No. 5, and for Special Site No. 5, but the same mining privileges and licenses shall continue in force notwithstanding the expiration of the nominal term thereof.
