This Act may be cited as the Maniototo Hospital and Charitable Aid Act, 1907, and shall form part of and be read together with the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), and shall come into operation on the first day of April, nineteen hundred and eight.

From and after the coming into operation of this Act the District of Maniototo shall not form part of the united district mentioned in paragraph (8) of section thirty-four of the principal Act.

The member of the Board of the said united district elected by the Councils of the Maniototo County and the Borough of Naseby shall on the coming into operation of this Act cease to hold office as such member, but otherwise the constitution of the said Board shall not be affected by this Act.

All the assets and liabilities of the Board of the said united district at the time of such coming into operation shall be apportioned between the said united Board and the Board of the Maniototo District in such manner as shall be agreed upon by the said Boards, or, failing agreement, as shall be determined by such person as the Governor may appoint for the purpose.

Nothing in this section shall affect any moneys or lands specially bequeathed or granted to any institution in any place outside the limits of the Maniototo District, and such moneys or lands so bequeathed shall not be deemed assets of the united Board for the purposes of this section.

The members of the Maniototo Hospital Board in office on the coming into operation of this Act shall be the District Board under this Act, and shall hold office until the coming into office of their successors as provided by the principal Act.
