An Act to authorise the Minister of Railways and the Bluff Harbour Board to exchange certain Lands.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Bluff Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1909.
2 Exchange of lands authorised.
(1.)
The Governor may grant to the Board in fee-simple the several pieces of land described in the First Schedule hereto.
(2.)
On the issue of the certificate of title under the last preceding subsection the piece of land described in the Second Schedule hereto shall vest in His Majesty freed and discharged from any trusts upon which the same may be held.
SCHEDULES
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that area, containing 1 acre and 15·8 perches; more or less, being portion of the land taken for railway purposes by a Proclamation dated the 29th September, 1897, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 86, of the 7th October, 1897, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point 570 links distant, on a bearing of 2°, from the bench-mark in Gore Street, Campbelltown, near the north-east corner of Block I, Campbelltown; thence proceeding westerly, by a line at a bearing of 279°1′, a distance of 1070 links; thence southerly, by a line at a bearing of 189° 1′, a distance of 100 links; thence easterly, by a line at a bearing of 99°1′, a distance of 1205·44 links; thence north-westerly, by a line at a bearing of 295° 17′, a distance of 133·05 links; and thence northerly, by a line at a bearing of 2°, a distance of 63·2 links, to the commencing-point.
Also all that area, containing 1 rood 2·6 perches, more or less, being portion of the land taken for railway purposes by a Proclamation dated the 7th August, 1899, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point 187·2 links distant, on a bearing of 34°, from the north-east corner of Section 6a, Block VI, Campbelltown East; thence proceeding north-easterly, by a line at a bearing of 34°, a distance of 28·2 links; thence north-westerly, by a line at a bearing of 325° 44′, a distance of 104·1 links; again north-westerly, by a line at a bearing of 304°, a distance of 263 links; again north-westerly, by a line at a bearing of 302° 36′, a distance of 196·04 links; thence south-easterly, by a line at a bearing of 136° 13′, a distance of 318·8 links; thence south-easterly, by a line at a bearing of 122° 42′, a distance of 244 links, to the commencing-point: as the said areas are more particularly delineated on the plan marked 17444 in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.
SECOND SCHEDULE
All that area, containing 1 acre 2 roods 37·5 perches, more or less, being part of the foreshore at the Bluff Harbour, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point 526·3 links distant, on a bearing of 99° 1′ from the bench-mark in Gore Street, Campbelltown, near the north-east corner of Block I, Campbelltown; thence proceeding south-easterly, by a line at a bearing of 142°, a distance of 145·9 links; again south-easterly, by a Line at a bearing of 122°36′, a distance of 768·56 links; thence north-westerly, by a line at a bearing of 316° 10′ 13″, a distance of 825·88 links; thence westerly, by a line at a bearing of 279° 1′, a distance of 251·4 links; and again south-easterly, by a line at a bearing of 142°, a distance of 134·7 links, to the commencing-point: as the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 17444 in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
