This Act may be cited as the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Amendment Act, 1909, and shall be read with and form part of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act, 1908 (hereinafter called the said Act).

The Second Schedule to the said Act is hereby amended by striking out the word “Orakei” wherever the same occurs, and the said Second Schedule shall be read and construed as if the said word “Orakei” wherever the same occurs therein had been omitted therefrom and had never been inserted therein.

This Act shall be deemed to have been in force since the passing of the said Act; and all proceedings in connection with the loan of one hundred thousand pounds raised by the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board under the provisions of the said Act, and all the debentures issued in respect thereof, shall be as good and valid in all respects, both at law and in equity, as if the said word “Orakei” had never been inserted in the Second Schedule to the said Act but had been omitted therefrom.
