An Act to extend the Powers of the Tauranga Harbour Board.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Tauranga Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1920.21

2 Special Act.

This Act shall be deemed to be a special Act within the meaning of the Harbours Act, 1908.

3 Redeemed debentures may be reissued.

(1.)

At any time after the debentures issued to the Tauranga Borough Council under the provisions of the Tauranga Borough Council and Tauranga Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1915, or any of them, are redeemed from the Tauranga Borough Council, it shall be lawful for the Tauranga Harbour Board to issue in lieu thereof debentures of a like amount at a rate sufficient to produce to the lender not more than five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum instead of five pounds per centum per annum, but otherwise subject to the same terms and conditions.

(2.)

The Harbour Board may from time to time, as it thinks fit, hypothecate or sell any debentures issued by it pursuant to this Act.
