An Act to amend the Christchurch Domains Act, 1904.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Christchurch Domains Amendment Act, 1923, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Christchurch Domains Act, 1904.

2 Section 11 of the Christchurch Domains Amendment Act, 1913, amended.

Section eleven of the Christchurch Domains Amendment Act, 1913, is hereby amended by omitting the words “two thousand five hundred pounds,” and substituting the words “five thousand pounds” in the proviso to subsection one thereof; and by adding to the same subsection the following proviso:—

“Provided further that if the amount so estimated in any financial year exceeds three thousand five hundred pounds no contributory local authority of those amongst whom the amount is apportioned pursuant to the next succeeding subsection shall be liable, without its consent, to pay a larger amount than would be apportioned to it if the amount of the Board’s estimated requirements were three thousand five hundred pounds.”
