An Act to provide that the Te Ore Ore River Board shall make and levy Rates on an Acreage Basis.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Te Ore Ore River Board Rating Act, 1934.

2 Interpretation.

In this Act, if not inconsistent with the context, “River Board” means the Te Ore Ore River Board.

3 All rates to be made and levied on acreage basis.

All rates whatsoever of the River Board shall be made and levied on an acreage basis.

4 River Board empowered to rate on acreage basis.

The River Board is hereby empowered to make, levy, and collect on such acreage basis all such rates for all the purposes of and in the manner provided by the River Boards Act, 1908, and the Rating Act, 1925.
