An Act to amend the Bay of Islands Harbour Act, 1920.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
(1)
This Act may be cited as the Bay of Islands Harbour Amendment Act, 1936, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Bay of Islands Harbour Act, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
Commencement.
(2)
This Act shall come into force on the first day of December, nineteen hundred and thirty-six.
2 Limits of harbour to be defined by Governor-General.
(1)
Section six of the Harbours Act, 1923, shall apply to the Harbour of the Bay of Islands.
(2)
Section three of the principal Act is hereby consequentially amended by repealing the definition of the term “Harbour”
, and substituting the following definition: “Harbour”
means the Harbour of the Bay of Islands.
Consequential repeal.
(3)
The Schedule to the principal Act is hereby consequentially repealed.
