WHEREAS by the Auckland Harbour Board Loan and Empowering Act, 1924 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the Auckland Harbour Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board) was empowered to borrow and expend the sum of seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds in carrying out the works and for the purposes specified in the First Schedule to the principal Act: And whereas by section two of the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1926, the First Schedule to the principal Act was repealed, and the First Schedule to the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1926, was substituted therefor: And whereas by section two of the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1935, the First Schedule to the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1926, was amended: And whereas the Board is desirous of providing funds for the construction of the works and other purposes specified in the Schedule hereto, and in that behalf is desirous of invoking the authority of the principal Act by extending the works and purposes as specified in the First Schedule to the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1926, as amended by the Auckland Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1935:
