An Act to Empower the Whangarei Milk Authority to Expend Moneys for the Buying and Selling of Butter, Cheese, and other Milk Products and Eggs.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Whangarei Milk Authority Empowering Act, 1949.

2 Authorizing Whangarei Milk Authority to buy and sell certain milk products and eggs.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Milk Act, 1944, or any other Act, the Whangarei Milk Authority shall be deemed to have been at all times authorized and empowered, and shall at all times hereafter be authorized and empowered, to do all or any of the following things:—

(a)

To buy butter, cheese, and other milk products, and to sell butter, cheese, and other milk products by retail:

(b)

To buy eggs, and to sell eggs by retail, subject to any Act or regulations generally governing the marketing of eggs or egg products in New Zealand,—

and for those purposes to expend such amount from time to time as may be required.
