An Act to validate the purchase by the Waitemata Electric Power Board of certain transmission lines and substations
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Waitemata Electric Power Board (Electric Transmission Lines and Substations) Validation Act 1982.
2 Validation of purchases
(1)
The purchase of the electric transmission line described in the First Schedule to this Act in or about April 1957 by the Waitemata Electric Power Board from the State Hydro-Electric Department is hereby validated and declared to have been lawfully effected to the extent that it would have been valid if the provisions of section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 (as it stood in 1957) had in all respects then been observed and complied with.

The electric transmission line described in the said First Schedule is hereby deemed to be and, since the 1st day of April 1957, to have been validly owned by the Waitemata Electric Power Board.
(3)
The purchase of the electric transmission line described in the Second Schedule to this Act in or about May 1957 by the Waitemata Electric Power Board from the State Hydro-Electric Department is hereby validated and declared to have been lawfully effected to the extent that it would have been valid if the provisions of section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 (as it stood in 1957) had in all respects then been observed and complied with.

The electric transmission line described in the said Second Schedule is hereby deemed to be and, since the 17th day of May 1957, to have been validly owned by the Waitemata Electric Power Board.

The purchase of the land and fixtures thereon described in the Third Schedule to this Act in or about May 1957 by the Waitemata Electric Power Board from the State Hydro-Electric Department is hereby validated and declared to have been lawfully effected to the extent that it would have been valid if the provisions of section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 (as it stood in 1957) had in all respects then been observed and complied with.

The land and fixtures thereon described in the said Third Schedule are hereby deemed to be and, since the 17th day of May 1957, to have been validly owned by the Waitemata Electric Power Board.
Schedules
First Schedule
Section 2(1), (2)
That electric transmission line known and described in 1957 as the Takapuna-Belmont 50 kilovolts double circuit electric transmission line which spans a distance of 2.65 miles and which presently operates at 33 kilovolts.
Second Schedule
Section 2(3), (4)
The Greenhithe-Takapuna section (spanning a distance of 3 miles 77 chains 10.9 links) of that electric transmission line known and described in 1957 as the Henderson Takapuna 50 kilovolts double-circuit electric transmission line, portion of which Greenhithe-Takapuna section is presently incorporated in and forms part of an electric transmission line which spans a route between Albany and the Wairau Valley via Glenfield and which presently operates at 110 kilovolts.
Third Schedule
Section 2(5), (6)
1.
Takapuna Substation: 1 acre 1 rood 39.8 perches, more or less, being Parts Allotment 93, Parish of Takapuna, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1697, folio 6 (North Auckland Registry), together with all buildings, plant, and equipment thereon.
2.
Belmont Substation and Cottages: 3 roods 29.47 perches, more or less, being Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 on Deposited Plan 19722, and being part Allotment 7, Section 1, Parish of Takapuna, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1697, folio 7 (North Auckland Registry), together with all buildings, plant, and equipment thereon.
