An Act to amend The Eden Park Trust Act 1955

  • Preamble

    WHEREAS by section 10 of The Eden Park Trust Act 1955 the Eden Park Trust Board is granted certain powers: And whereas since the passing of that Act the Trust Board now desires to widen its powers so as to include the acquisition and holding of booth licences under The Sale of Liquor Act 1962: And whereas in order to hold such licences, it is necessary and desirable to so extend the powers of the Trust Board:

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

  • This Act may be cited as the Eden Park Trust Amendment Act 1979, and shall be read together with and deemed part of The Eden Park Trust Act 1955 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Powers of Trust Board redefined

  • Section 10(4) of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:

    • “(d) To make application for and to hold a booth licence in accordance with The Sale of Liquor Act 1962.”

3 Private Act

  • This Act is hereby declared to be a private Act.
