An Act to amend “The Law Practitioners Act, 1861.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Law Practitioners Act Amendment Act, 1877.”
2 Judges may pay fees to Examiners out of fees received under “The Law Practitioners Act, 1861.”
Out of the fees received under “The Law Practitioners Act, 1861,”
as amended by “The Law Practitioners Act, 1867,”
the Judges of the Supreme Court, or any three or more of them, may from time to time appropriate such reasonable sums as they may deem necessary for the purpose of paying fees to Examiners appointed by them to conduct or assist in the examination of candidates for admission as barristers or solicitors of the Court, and for purposes connected with such examination; and such fees may be appropriated out of the fees received under the said Acts in any judicial district in such proportion and manner as the said Judges shall think fit.
