An Act to amend “The New Zealand University Act, 1874.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The New Zealand University Act 1874 Amendment Act, 1883.”
2 Degrees may be granted in Arts, Law, Medicine, Science, and Music.
The Senate of the University of New Zealand shall have power, after examination, to confer the several degrees of Bachelor and Master in Arts, and Bachelor and Doctor in Law, Medicine, Science, and Music, and such reasonable fees shall be charged for the degrees so conferred as the Senate shall from time to time direct.
This section shall be read with and be deemed to form part of “The New Zealand University Act, 1874.”
3 Repeal.
“The New Zealand University Act 1874 Amendment Act, 1875,”
is hereby repealed.
