An Act to authorise the Exchange of certain Lands.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Courthouse-sites Exchange Act, 1902.”
2 Exchange of land for Courthouse, Auckland.
(1.)
The land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby vested in His Majesty the King as part of the site of the Magistrate’s Court House in the City of Auckland.
(2.)
The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby vested in the Corporation of the City of Auckland for the purposes of a public street.
(3.)
The District Land Registrar is hereby empowered and directed to issue Land Transfer certificates of title for the lands in question to His Majesty the King and to the Corporation of the City of Auckland respectively.
3 Exchange of land for Courthouse, Hamilton.
The Governor may grant to Arthur Meilziner Myers, of Auckland, Allotment No. 97, Collingwood Street, Hamilton West (being the site of the Courthouse in the Borough of Hamilton), on receiving from the said Arthur Meilziner Myers in exchange a transfer to His Majesty the King of Allotment No. 47, Victoria Street, Hamilton West, for the purposes of a Courthouse-site.
SCHEDULES
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being a portion of Allotment 27 of Section 4, City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 10·3 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a road, 129·34 links; towards the south-east by Victoria Quadrant, 99·7 links; and towards the west by other portion of Allotment 27, Section 4, City of Auckland, 167·45 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
SECOND SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being a portion of Allotment 26 of Section 4, City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 6·7 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a road, 44·3 links, and by other portion of Allotment 26, Section 4, City of Auckland, 33 links; towards the east by other portion of Allotment 26, Section 4, City of Auckland aforesaid, 45·2 links, and by public road, 64·65 links; and towards the south-west by Allotment 27, Section 4, City of Auckland, 126·56 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
