An Act to amend the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act, 1908, and it shall be read together with and as part of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Declarations by Deputy Returning Officers.
The declaration required by subsection three of section thirteen of the principal Act to be made and subscribed by a Deputy before the Returning Officer may, when the residence of such Deputy Returning Officer is situated at a distance of more than five miles from the office of the Returning Officer, be taken and subscribed before any Justice of the Peace.
