An Act to amend the Canterbury College and the Canterbury Agricultural College Act, 1896.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Canterbury College and the Canterbury Agricultural College Amendment Act, 1925, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Canterbury College and the Canterbury Agricultural College Act, 1896 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Election of Chairman of Board of Governors of Canterbury College.
(1.)
At every meeting of the Board of Governors held for the purpose of electing a Chairman the Registrar of the College shall preside, but shall not be entitled to vote. In the case of an equality of voting the issue shall be decided by lot.
(2.)
This section is in substitution for section sixteen of the principal Act, and that section is hereby accordingly repealed.
3 Professorial Board of Canterbury College.
(1.)
There shall be a Professorial Board of the College, consisting of all the professors of the College for the time being and of such lecturers of the College for the time being as the Board of Governors may from time to time declare to be members of such Professorial Board.
(2.)
This section is in substitution for section twenty-seven of the principal Act, and that section is hereby accordingly repealed.
