An Act to amend the New Zealand Army Act 1950

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the New Zealand Army Amendment Act 1981, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the New Zealand Army Act 1950 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Personnel of Naval Forces and Air Force attached to Army

Section 134(3) of the principal Act is hereby repealed.

3 Maximum fines increased

The provisions of the principal Act specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Act (as amended by section 7 of the Decimal Currency Act 1964) are hereby amended in the manner specified in the second column of that Schedule.

4 Repeals

Sections 6, 7, 9, and 12 to 16 of the New Zealand Army Amendment Act 1965 are hereby repealed.

5 Expiry

This Act shall be deemed to be repealed on the date of the commencement of the Armed Forces Discipline Act 1971.
