An Act to amend the Milk Act 1967

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Milk Amendment Act 1982, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Milk Act 1967 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Fixing prices and conditions of sale of milk

(1)

Section 25(5)(a) of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “under this section”, the words “, or (by virtue of subsection (3) of this section) fixed under the Commerce Act 1975”.

(2)

Section 25(7) of the principal Act (as substituted by section 6(2) of the Milk Amendment Act 1980) is hereby amended by omitting the words “or subsection (4)”, and substituting the words “, subsection (4), or subsection (5)”.

(3)

Every action by any person on or after the 16th day of December 1980 is hereby deemed to have been as valid and effectual as if subsections (1) and (2) of this section had come into force on that day.

This Act is administered in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
