An Act to amend the Electrical Registration Act 1979
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Electrical Registration Amendment Act 1982, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Electrical Registration Act 1979 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Persons who may do prescribed electrical work
Section 34(1)(b) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the word “flex”
.
3 Persons who may assist in doing prescribed electrical work
Section 35(1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from paragraph (c) of the proviso the expression “6 000”
, and substituting the expression “4 000”
.
4 Work dangerous to life
Section 45 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words “Every person who culpably or negligently does, or causes to be done, any prescribed electrical work”
, and substituting the words “Any person who wilfully or negligently does or causes or permits to be done any work on any electrical wiring or on any electrical appliance, apparatus, or installation”
.
This Act is administered in the Ministry of Energy.
