An Act to amend the National Parks Act 1980

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the National Parks Amendment Act 1982, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the National Parks Act 1980 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Management plans

Section 45 of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing subsection (4), and substituting the following subsection:

“(4)

Where any management plan has been prepared but not approved at the commencement of this Act, that plan may be approved under section 48 of this Act as if it had been prepared in accordance with section 47 of this Act.”

This Act is administered in the Department of Lands and Survey.
