The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3 Interpretation

  • Section 2(1) of the principal Act is amended by repealing paragraph (b) of the definition of New Zealand national, and substituting the following paragraph:

    • “(b) an individual who is ordinarily resident in New Zealand, as defined in section 2(2) and (2A) of the Overseas Investment Act 1973; or”
