The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Misuse of Drugs Amendment Act 2008.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975.
4 Evidence of analysis
The definition of member of the police in section 31(5) is amended by repealing paragraphs (c) and (d) and substituting the following paragraphs:
“(c) a member of the Senior Air Security Specialist trade, or of the Air Security Specialist trade, of the Royal New Zealand Air Force:
“(d) an officer of the Air Security specialisation of the Operational Support Branch of the Royal New Zealand Air Force”.
