The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Housing Restructuring and Tenancy Matters (Social Housing Reform) Amendment Act 2016.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act
This Act amends the Housing Restructuring and Tenancy Matters Act 1992 (the principal Act).
4 Section 27 amended (Provisions relating to vesting of land)
After section 27(4), insert:
(4A)
To avoid doubt, sections 40 to 42 of the Public Works Act 1981 do not apply (and have never applied) to the sale or disposal by the company of land vested in the company pursuant to this Part.
