Proposed amendments
Hon David Parker, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 2
In clause 2(1), replace “on the day after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent”
(lines 5 and 6 on page 3) with “on 1 April 2016”
.
In clause 2(2), after “The rest of this Act comes into force on a date”
(line 7 on page 3), insert “after 1 April 2016, to be ”
.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Mixed Ownership Model Bill to delay its implementation in order to give sufficient time for the public to understand the legislation and prepare for its consequences.
