Proposed amendment

Hon Trevor Mallard, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 16

In clause 16, replace new section 45Q(2) (lines 11 and 12 on page 8) with:

  • (2) For the avoidance of doubt, subsection (1) does not apply to persons other than the Crown and the companies listed in Schedule 5.

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper would ensure that companies placed under a Mixed Ownership Model structure would continue to be bound by the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
