Proposed amendments
Denise Roche, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 30
In clause 30, replace new section 69CA(1)(b) (page 21, lines 12 to 16) with:
“(b) the employer, together with any associated person of the employer (as at the date on which the employer provides a warranty under section 69CB), has no employees; and”
In clause 30, replace new section 69CB(b) (page 22, lines 7 to 11) with:
“(b) confirm that, on the date on which the warranty is provided, the employer (together with any associated person of the employer) has no employees; and”
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper removes the exemption for employers with less than 20 employees to the provisions that give workers in certain circumstances guarantee of continued employment in the case of restructuring.
