Employment Relations Amendment Bill

Proposed amendments

Denise Roche, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 12

In clause 12, new section 50K(1), delete “because of difficulties in concluding bargaining” (page 12, line 13).

In clause 12, new section 50K(2)(b), replace “mediation; but” (page 12, line 33) with “mediation.”

In clause 12, new section 50K(2), delete paragraph (c) (page 12, line 34 to page 13, line 8).

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper will remove the ability for negotiating parties to apply to the Authority to ask that they determine that negotiations have concluded because one of the parties considers that the negotiations are difficult.
