Heading above clause 15
Delete this heading (page 14, lines 24 to 25).
Clauses 15–19
Delete clauses 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 (page 14, line 26 to page 15, line 21).
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper removes the provisions to take away the entitlement for workers to be offered conditions not inconsistent with the collective agreement in their work place for the first 30 days of employment. This change would undermine collective bargaining and see new employees brought in on lower wages and inferior terms and conditions to existing staff which over time weakens the pay and conditions of all workers. Accordingly this Supplementary Order Paper removes the relevant provisions.
