Proposed amendment
Marama Fox, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 38
In clause 38, new section 66K(1AA)(c), insert after subparagraph (ii) (page 43, after line 37):
(iia)
iwi and Māori organisations, including iwi authorities; and
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends new section 66K in clause 38 in the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families (Oranga Tamariki) Legislation Bill. We believe that the list of organisations and individuals that the department will consult on a draft Code of Practice ought to include iwi and Māori organisations and authorities.
