Proposed amendments

Dr Parmjeet Parmar, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 24

Delete clause 24 (page 17, lines 22 to 24).

Clause 25

Delete clause 25 (page 17, lines 25 to 32).

Clause 26

Delete clause 26 (page 18, lines 1 to 12).

Clause 27

Delete clause 27 (page 18, lines 13 to 15).

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Employment Relations Amendment Bill by deleting clauses 24 to 27 of the Bill.

The clauses as they stand provide a new grounds for discrimination against a person involved in union activity, by specifically inserting a new provision as to the individual’s union membership status.
