Proposed amendment

Hon Amy Adams, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 5

In clause 5, delete new section 55AAB(b) (page 2, lines 10 and 11).

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Electoral (Integrity) Amendment Bill. It amends clause 5 to delete section 55AAB(b), as one cannot “enhance the maintenance of the proportionality ... as determined by electors” and at the same time deny electors their own choice of member of Parliament.
