Proposed amendment
Chlöe Swarbrick, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 46
In clause 46(2), after paragraph (b) (page 25, after line 28), insert:
(ba)
members of the board include people who have expertise in accessibility issues for disabled people; and
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Digital Identity Services Trust Framework Bill. It would ensure the TF board includes people who have expertise in accessibility issues for disabled people. This amendment acknowledges and addresses discrimination faced by disabled communities, including tāngata whaikaha, by ensuring robust consideration of the impacts that changes in the digital identity space will have.
