An Act to amend the Sharebrokers Act 1908
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Sharebrokers Amendment Act 1957, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Sharebrokers Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

(3) The following enactments are hereby repealed, namely:
(a) Paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section 52 of the Finance Act 1930:
(b) Section 8 of the principal Act.
(4) Every licence issued under the principal Act by the Secretary which is subsisting at the commencement of this section shall continue in force as if it had been granted by a District Court Judge exercising jurisdiction in the District Court nearest to the place of business or principal place of business of the holder of the licence.
Subsection (1) was repealed, as from 14 October 1981, by section 10(2)(b) Sharebrokers Amendment Act 1981 (1981 No 43).
Subsections (2)(a)-(b) were repealed, as from 14 October 1981, by section 10(2)(b) Sharebrokers Amendment Act 1981 (1981 No 43).
The references to a
“District Court Judge”
and a“District Court”
were substituted, as from 1 April 1980, for references to a“Magistrate”
and a“Magistrate's Court”
by section 18(2) District Courts Amendment Act 1979 (1979 No 125).
