About our accessibility standards and development
This demo website aims to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility testing is ongoing using Axe DevTools and third-party audits to identify and remedy any problems that did not conform with these standards.
After testing, we have improved this demo website’s accessibility with:
accessible buttons, fields, and tags, including keyboard accessibility
skip links for webpages and filters
additional alt text.
We will make further improvements to accessibility in the future. Please note that this site does not yet have its final design.

Parts of this demo website may not be fully accessible
Please note that parts of this demo website may not yet be fully accessible. For example, there may be web accessibility issues with:
tables in legislation
content displaying in zoom or close-up views, especially contents and “Refine Further” options
use of colour.
The PCO adds alt text for images, and table summaries, to legislation when it is first published or consolidated. However, this information may not be provided for legislation published or most recently consolidated before April 2015.
Also, there may be instances where this demo website is unable to publish legislation in a form that fully complies with accessibility standards. This is because the final form and content of legislation is a matter for Parliament. With secondary legislation, it may be determined by the agency administering the secondary legislation. This may impact the accessibility of some Bills and Amendment Papers, and of past versions of legislation that are PDFs. The website team may be able to help you access legislation that has accessibility challenges, so please contact us if you need help.
