The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Local Government Act 1974 Amendment Act 2012.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Local Government Act 1974.
4 Schedule 7 amended
-
(1) Item 2 of Schedule 7 is amended by adding in the second column
“(D)”
.(2) Item 17 of Schedule 7 is amended by omitting from the second column
“Banks Peninsula District”
.
