The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Carriage of Goods Amendment Act 2013.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day that is 6 months after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Carriage of Goods Act 1979.
4 Limitation of amount of carrier’s liability
Section 15(1) is amended by omitting “$1,500”
and substituting “$2,000”
.
