State-Owned Enterprises (Solid Energy New Zealand Limited) Order 1997
Note
PURSUANT to section 30A of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting—
(a) By and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council; and
-
(b) On the recommendation of the Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (that Minister being satisfied—
(i) That the name of the State enterprise known as Coal Corporation of New Zealand Limited has been changed to Solid Energy New Zealand Limited; and
(ii) That a certificate of incorporation recording that change of name and dated 13 March 1997 has been issued to that State enterprise under section 23(3)(b) of the Companies Act 1993)—
makes the following order.

Order
1 Title and commencement
-
(1) This order may be cited as the State-Owned Enterprises (Solid Energy New Zealand Limited) Order 1997.
(2) This order comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2 Amendment to State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986
The State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986 is amended by omitting from Schedule 1, and also from Schedule 2, the words
“Coal Corporation of New Zealand Limited”
, and substituting in each case the words“Solid Energy New Zealand Limited”
.
3 Amendments to other Acts
The enactments specified in the Schedule are amended in the manner indicated in that schedule.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, amends a number of Acts by changing references to the name of a State enterprise to reflect the change in the name of the State enterprise from Coal Corporation of New Zealand Limited to Solid Energy New Zealand Limited.
