An Act to amend the Fire Service Act 1975

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1 Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Fire Service Amendment Act 1982, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Fire Service Act 1975 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Levy

Notwithstanding subsection (1) of this section, every levy due under section 48 of the principal Act which was due before the commencement of this Act and which was computed in accordance with subsection (5) of that section, as in force before the commencement of this Act, is hereby validated and deemed to have been lawfully made and in no case shall the amount of any such levy be increased by reason of the said subsection (1).

Subsection 1(1) was repealed, as from 1 July 1986, by section 8(4) Fire Service Amendment Act 1986 (1986 No 18).
