The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
-
(1) This Act is the Commerce Amendment Act (No 2) 2005.
(2) In this Act, the Commerce Act 1986 is called
“the principal Act”
.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Commission may give clearances for business acquisitions
4 Commission may grant authorisations for business acquisitions
Section 67(3)(a) of the principal Act is amended by inserting, after the word
“would”
, the word“not”
.
