An Act to amend the District Courts Act 1947
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Title and commencement
(1)
This Act may be cited as the District Courts Amendment Act 1995, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Courts Act 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
(2)
This Act shall come into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
2 Extent of jurisdiction under Part 2A of this Act
(1)
This subsection inserted s 28A(1)(f) to (h) of the principal Act.
(2)
This subsection amended s 28A(2) of the principal Act.
(3)
Every determination or order of a District Court—
(a)
Made on or after the 1st day of October 1991 but before the commencement of this section; and
(b)
shall be as valid and effectual as it would have been if subsection (1) of this section had been in force when the determination or order was made.
