Note
This order is administered in the Ministry of Fisheries.
Pursuant to sections 14(8) and 72(7) of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

1 Title
This order is the Fisheries (Schedules 3 and 6) Order 2004.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 October 2004.
3 New item inserted in Schedule 3 of Fisheries Act 1996
Schedule 3 of the Fisheries Act 1996 is amended by inserting, into the second column of the item relating to
“Green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus)”
, after the expression“GLM7A”
, the expression“and GLM9”
.
4 New item inserted in Schedule 6 of Fisheries Act 1996
Schedule 6 of the Fisheries Act 1996 is amended by inserting, in the appropriate alphabetical order, the item set out in the Schedule.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 October 2004, adds—
•the Quota Management Area GLM9 for green-lipped mussel to Schedule 3 of the Fisheries Act 1996 (which lists stocks that are managed with an alternative total allowable catch):
•green-lipped mussel in Quota Management Area GLM9 to Schedule 6 of the Fisheries Act 1996 (which lists stocks that may be returned to the sea or other waters in accordance with stated requirements).
