Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Police hereby gives the following notice.
Notice
1 Title and commencement
(1)
This notice may be cited as the Transport (Approved Vehicle Surveillance Equipment) Notice 1994.
(2)
This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2 Approval of AutoPatrol PR-100NZ
The AutoPatrol PR-100NZ radar system together with a compatible computer and an AutoPatrol Model TC-1000 Trafficam camera unit, used in conjunction with any of the following, namely,—
(a)
an AutoPatrol TC-1000F flash unit (with or without a filter):
(b)
a Trafficam TC-1000, TC-1000M, or TC-1000MNZ, long roll film magazine:
(c)
a tripod mounting system:
(d)
a mobile mounting system:
(e)
a photographic filter or filters:
(f)
a video camera and cassette recorder system—
is hereby approved as a kind of vehicle surveillance equipment for the purposes of the Land Transport Act 1998.
Clause 2: amended, on 1 March 1999, by clause 2 of the Transport (Approved Vehicle Surveillance Equipment) Amendment Notice 1999 (SR 1999/18).
3 Approval of AutoPatrol SP-200
The AutoPatrol SP-200 static speed camera system incorporating an AutoPatrol model TC-1000 Trafficam camera unit used in conjunction with 2 or more piezo-electric sensors and 1 or more loop sensors, and with any of the following, namely,—
(a)
an ATS250EX flash system (with or without a filter):
(b)
a Trafficam TC-1000, TC-1000M, or TC-1000MNZ, long roll film magazine:
(c)
an AutoPatrol unattended housing system outer enclosure and pole system:
(d)
a photographic filter or filters—
is hereby approved as a kind of vehicle surveillance equipment for the purposes of the Land Transport Act 1998.
Clause 3: amended, on 1 March 1999, by clause 3 of the Transport (Approved Vehicle Surveillance Equipment) Amendment Notice 1999 (SR 1999/18).
4 Revocation
The Transport (Approved Vehicle Surveillance Equipment) Notice 1993 (SR 1993/335) is hereby consequentially revoked.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Transport (Approved Vehicle Surveillance Equipment) Notice 1994 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
